Florida Roofing Contractor Practice Test

Exam-style questions for the CCC General Trade Knowledge exam, weighted exactly the way the state weights the paper, with a written explanation on every answer.

Updated August 2026

The real exam is 80 scored questions in 5 hours, open book, computer-delivered at Pearson VUE on a daily schedule, and you need 70%. This practice test gives you 361 questions across all nine official content areas, in the same proportions. The first 5 are free with no account.

Weighted the way the exam is weighted

The DBPR publishes the content areas and their weights in its Examination Content Information sheet, and the same nine areas and percentages appear in Rule 61G4-16.001(7)(b), F.A.C. Our bank is sized to match, so the areas that decide most results get the most drill:

Those four 15% areas are 60% of the paper between them. If your practice time is not weighted the same way, you are studying a different exam from the one Florida is going to give you.

How to use the practice test

Filter to a single content area and work it until you are consistently right for the right reason, then move on. Read the explanation even on the questions you get correct — on an open-book exam the value is in recognizing why the other three options are wrong, because that is the skill that survives a reworded question on the day.

When several areas feel solid, drop the filter and mix all 361. Mixed practice is harder and more honest: it removes the context cue that comes from knowing every question in front of you is about single ply.

The weights in the state's content outline may vary by as much as plus or minus three percent on any given form — Rule 61G4-16.001(36), F.A.C. says so directly. Do not gamble on a 5% area being absent. Membrane Waterproofing and Drains and Gutters are only about eight questions between them, and eight questions is comfortably the distance between 70% and a retake.

Then prove it against the clock

Five hours for 80 questions is roughly three and three-quarter minutes each, which sounds generous until you spend fifteen minutes hunting one answer through an unfamiliar reference. Our timed simulation mirrors the real exam exactly — 80 questions, a 5-hour clock, 70% to pass, and no explanations until you finish. Aim to clear 80% under time before you schedule.

What these questions are and are not

These are original practice questions written to the state's published content areas. They are not leaked exam items, and anyone selling you "the real questions" is selling you something the DBPR treats very seriously. What they do give you is the format, the difficulty and the reasoning — and on an open-book exam, reasoning is the thing that saves you time.
